Earth is beginning to feel pretty crowded. We now have 6,798,500,000 human beings all mushed onto 148.9 million square miles of land. Why yes, that is less that one square mile per person! To top things off, pollution and global warming are beginning to make a major print on our planet. What will we do when our planet begins to wheeze and cough? Will there be a fix? I sure hope so, we have nowhere else to go. Don't take this the wrong way! I'm writing this letter not to complain, but to entice you to visit our home while it continues to radiate splendor! We have beautiful landforms like the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls, you should really visit those all-natural beauties. As for man-made things, I believe we have a right to brag about places like New York City and even the less cosmopolitan places like Machu Picchu. We have seven man-made wonders to pick from! I love my home planet, but occasionally I do wonder what lies beyond the milky way. We've only taken a stroll around the moon and snapped a couple of photographs around in space, but never have we encountered intergalactic networks! The most extensive contact we have created is the internet! I bet your life forms laugh at our "advancements" in technology. I guess if you visit we can compete in all friendly intergalactic olympics to see who the "better" species is! I wonder what your planet is like, does it overflow with an abundance of life like our forests? Or does it conceal all life forms beneath a sheet of lifeless elements? Does it abound in culture, or is everything limited and consistent? I wonder what hobbies your people engage in, or if there is even any time for hobbies. Speaking of time, does that concept even exist for your society? Ah! I have so many questions, but limited answers, one can only assume everything outside of our lives is the same. One thing I sure hope you have is music! Simple notes and sounds that seem to just heal the soul and make memories much more memorable! Maybe you can share your music with the world, I'm sure it's different, but in the end it is harmonious! Well, I could say so much more, but I'd run out of space in this little box to type away every little thought while I'm sitting here pondering even more and more, so you'll just have to visit me to find out!
Just another curious Earthling,
Maria
P.S. I provided you with a picture of our little planet! In case you get lost on the way here!

This was cute, but I think you have officially invited the unknown people into our world. Haha. I loved this blog. You're right! Our tiny planet is getting crowded, and I do believe soon we are going to have to move onto other lands. I've always wondered what the extra-terrestrial lifeforms were like. Would it be like some sort of ET character? Or would they look more like us?
I liked your letter to the aliens, now I bet aliens would love to come here since you told them all about us. It seems like it should be in a travel agent brochure. I also wonder what aliens are like, and what we would do if we every met them.
I think we take advantage of our Earth. It is a very beautiful place, with so many places and natural beauty to visit. Although I have always dreamed of being able to visit another planet, I would find it a little hard to have an alien living next door to me; I think our ways of living would be too different. I like having the unknown being something I think about, not a reality right in front of me.
I await the day when beings from other worlds come to Earth with alien printout copies of this blog. I, too, wonder what is outside of our world, our galaxy and into other galaxies and worlds. Surely we are not the only life-forms within all the the unfathomable number of galaxies spiraling with a centripetal force towards....what? The true center of the overall "universe"? When those life-forms visit our planet, at least when I hope they will, I'm going to jump up and down shouting "I'm that girl Maria' friend! You know! The one with the blog!"
As you describe Earth, it would make others want to come. Your Earth description would tempt them into coming and praising all the little things that their eyes may delight over. We humans have a chance to enjoy our Earth any day we want to, but since we are too blind to appreciate the little things in life, we always say "tomorrow will do" Let's not wait until tomorrow but act now!
Dude, I am just waiting for the aliens to come and they capture everyone else except you because you sent them a picture and wanted to meet them. I think it is so cute!!!!!
I would totally love to meet aliens, and see what else is beyound the milky way or pluto. The way i think about it "If we are microscopic compared to the universe, How do you think the ants feel?"
By partially filling saucers with vinegar and distributing the saucers around a room, you can eliminate odors.
I'm going to laugh and point at you, Maria, when random foreign lifeforms start pouring onto our already cramped planet. I think it's almost depressing how much we take advantage of the splendors of our home. It's so exciting to think about what might happen in the future when we finally get the answers and learn who else is out there. There's so much we don't know and pretend that we do.
